Connect Claude Code to CodingRouter
Configure Claude Code API access from a desktop interface. Choose a CodingRouter token and model, review the existing provider, and apply the connection without copying keys into JSON.
Before you configure Claude Code
Install Claude Code separately and check that it opens on your computer. In Connect, sign in to CodingRouter and choose the Claude Code tool. This guide is for Claude Code; Claude Desktop is a separate application and its provider management does not use this quick-setup flow.
Choose a token and an available model
Open Quick setup. Select the token you want to use and check its group and availability. Choose a model from the allowed list returned by the account API. If there are no usable tokens, confirm a quota before creating one; unlimited quota and permanent expiry are not the default. If the model list is empty, check the token's permissions instead of entering an arbitrary model name.
Review the provider and local settings
The confirmation shows the tool, model, group and configuration to be replaced. Connect prepares the Claude Code base URL, authentication token and model settings. The relevant fields are ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL, ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN and ANTHROPIC_MODEL; you do not need to type their values yourself. Expand the file details if you want to inspect which local paths are affected.
If settings change or you need to go back
If another application changes a configuration after the preview, reopen the preview and review it again rather than overwriting the newer file. Use Restore tool settings / View backups to inspect and restore a prior setup. After applying, start a fresh Claude Code session. A saved configuration is not a connection-test result; any model request may incur usage charges.
